KOH LIPE
Known as 'the Maldives of Thailand', this island definitely stands out among the other travel destinations in this country.
We went to this island in low season, so the access was not the fastest: 1.5h by plane from Bangkok to Hat Yai, 2h by bus and finally another 1.5h by boat to arrive to this tiny island.
There were no crowds and in a matter of minutes we could walk to one side of the island to the other. Koh Lipe is blessed with 3 beautiful white-sand beaches separated by jungle-covered hills and close to protected coral reefs.
In case you wonder, Sunset Beach was our favourite. At times, we had the whole beach completely to ourselves.
