Even the core of any film comes from its direction. It is my job to make sure all the pieces of the puzzle come together in order to make the initial vision come to life. Directing DP, guiding talent, and overseeing the editing process are all a part of the director's role and are crucial to the process.
Stories are often found in hard to reach places and I take pride in my ability to adapt to almost any situation and make its story known. Many situations aren't always meant for massive film crews. And with my ability to wear many hats on set, I can keep these special moments raw and tell them truthfully without barriers.
The process from concept to final product is so much more than choosing a camera. Commercial productions rely on the ability to break past many variables such as hiring talent, permits, weather forecasting, location scouting, etc to leave room for the creativity and story to shine through in the final product.
It is where the steps of ingestion, timeline workflow, sound design, grading, and mastering take place. As an editor, I am in charge of the final steps of assembling the film and crafting the story.
COLOuR CORRECTION / COLOuR GRADING
My work needs to be guided by the story and I believe that needs to be carried all the way down to the colour grading. A good colour grade should enhance the story.
